Please describe your career development at König Stahl. What kind of opportunities were you offered?

E.K.:Sales is my passion, which is why every order drives me toward further development. I have achieved many successes during my employment, but I am especially fond of a large order for 150 tons of steel, which I managed to secure with the client during a single phone call. I achieved my goal, and the client was very pleased with our quick and efficient service. But in reality all well implemented projects give satisfaction, even the tiniest ones.

Employee Interview

Please describe your career development at KÖNIG STAHL. What kind of opportunities were you offered?

B.P.: I started work at KONIG Group in 2006, in Vienna, just after graduating from my studies in Austria. Several years later I returned to Poland in order to help Koningstahl with its dynamic expansion of the Purchasing Department. The tasks I was responsible for depended on company’s needs at any moment, while my overall responsibility was to grow with each project I was entrusted with. I placed special attention on the expansion of new product groups, services and products intended for individual clients, because all help the company in its business development. The qualifications I have obtained during the many years of my experience have helped me engage even more in company’s development, and that is why I have started preparing training programs for our employees and clients.

What distinguishes KÖNIG STAHL as a good employer in the labour market?

B.P.: In my opinion, the size and organizational structure of the Königstahl company combines the best features of a small company and a large corporation.

Its organizational structure allows effective communication, understanding of the challenges and presentation of one’s own solutions at each organizational level in cooperation with all company departments, including the Management Board. In this way an individual employee can make a real impact on the development of the whole enterprise.

On the other hand, the company is large enough and financially stable that it has the means to implement interesting, individually designed solutions contributing to the company’s development, while at the same time rewarding employees for creativity and commitment. 25 years of dynamic expansion on the Polish market is also reflected in the stability of employment and the prospect for personal development.

The Austrian roots of Königstahl contribute to the preservation of the highest culture of the work environment. The activities of the KÖNIG Group in 17 European countries create opportunities for cooperation in international teams, seeking solutions and building professional experience both on the local and global level.

What experiences/events at KÖNIG STAHL have given you special satisfaction?

B.P.: A special personal event related to working at Königstahl for me was the possibility of transferring from KÖNIG T.A.G. in Vienna to Königstahl in Poland. After nearly 23 years of living abroad, the decision to return to the home country was a challenge, but also an opportunity that I decided to take; and thanks to the support of Königstahl, I do not regret it. J.

My biggest challenge, of which I personally very proud, and which has proved successful for the company, was the product development of hot rolled profiles. We have introduced new, better product standards, and at the same time increasing the competitiveness and market share of König Stahl.

Employee Interview

Please describe your career development at KÖNIG STAHL. What kind of opportunities were you offered?

Ł.M.:I started working at Königstahl as a warehouse keeper, then I was promoted to Team Leader, and currently I am responsible for the entire Logistics Department in the South Branch.

Gaining new professional experience, competences and skills became possible thanks to the support of my superiors and specialized training that helped me to develop alongside Königstahl.

What distinguishes KÖNIG STAHL as a good employer in the labour market?

Ł.M.: Königstahl offers a good atmosphere and partnership-based approach among coworkers. Modern warehouse equipment, such as storage systems, gantry cranes and band saws, allow the employees to acquire new skills and experience.

Work at Königstahl consists of everyday challenges that give a sense of self-realization without routine.

What experiences/events at KÖNIG STAHL have given you special satisfaction?

Ł.M.: An important challenge for me and my colleagues was the implementation of a new IT system, during which we had to maintain the ability to smoothly execute orders, especially in the first period of operation. We maintained full efficiency despite the inconveniences typical for such process.

Observing the involvement of the whole team of logisticians and warehousemen, which went beyond the usual tasks, and without which the project’s success would have been deeply endangered, brought me a lot of satisfaction.
